In GCSE Business Studies, whats the difference between an analysis and an evaluation?

Question:
my coursework tells me to 'critically analyse benefits and drawbacks of the appropriate marketing media you have chosen' then the next section says 'evaluate your chosen marketing media, showing reasoned judgement'. whts the difference?

Answer:
Basically, analysis is breaking something down and looking at each bit in detail and evaluation is saying how well something does its particular job or what is good or bad about something.

Thats the two terms in a nutshell, so to speak, hope that is of help to you
The difference in knowing is the difference between a pass or a fail.

Looks like its an F for you then.

Do you not have a dictionary? What about a business reference book? You know, your school should have a special needs department because it clearly sounds like you require their services. Jusus Christ...
It appears to ask essentially the same question to me.

However, the subtle difference appears to be that one assumes you first do the analysis before coming to a conclusion, whereas the other assumes you have made a decision and asks you to justify it.

I'm not sure why you are being asked the same question in many different ways. Perhaps, you could give the same reply in a different way?
An analysis is when you break down the components of something and explain the functions and details etc. An evaluation is when you assess how effective and successful it is. You would probably want to include suggestions for improvements - any constructive criticism.

Good luck.

An analysis is looking at how it works, the functions etc.

An evaluation is saying whether you think it was a good choice or a bad one and say why you think this.
There are 2 issues you are being asked to address. I'll restate them:
Show the good side and bad side of your chosen media.
(lay out all the info, usually making $$ is the goal)
Show why the good outweighs the bad and do it logically.
Good Luck! This only works if you've chosen one that actually is better to you.
Which media did you select? movie trailers, tv commercials, radio advertisements, junk mail, Yahoo advertisers?
difference is swatting a bit more
