Any advice on becoming a Personal Assistant after being in Human Resources?

Question:
At 40 and a single mother I cannot stand working in an office and dealing with the same routine all day long. IT"S SO BORING!! I've been told I woud make a great Personal Assistant. Any advice on how to begin?

Answer:
Check with your Employment Assistance offices. They should have info on all types of work you could be doing. They usually offer career counseling as well. They might even have re-training options. A health care aid usually doesn't take a lot of training. If you have the right personality, you might even be able to get on-the-job training. It's not easy being a single parent, so keep your chin up and don't let it get to you. They only one that can change your situation is YOU. The longer you wait the harder it will be so get moving, for you and your child's future.
