Is there a law in California that requires human resources managers to speak English?
Question:
You also have to take notice of the majority of people who live in that area. Are they Latino,Oriental or African American?
don't know but there should be
i mean how can you mange if you cant speak to the workers
i know if i was the boss of a company i would like them to speak English to be able to communicate with the employess
Probably not. But find our their nationality, take a course in whatever language they speak so that you can better understand what it is that they are trying to say. Other than that, you just have to deal with it.
No, I don't think there is. What if the business is spanish and targets a spanish speaking group of consumers? I understand your frustrations with going to mcdonalds and not being able to order because of language barriers though. I'm not sure if that's what you're getting at : )
No. Its a big argument. You won't find many English speaking in Mexico at all.
This IS America, you know. For 200 + years, immigrants have been required to understand English in order to gain meaningful employment.
Despite the current trend to coddle those who are unable to converse in English, the majority of management personnel in companies DO all speak English and require those that report to them have the ability to do the same.
