How do i find investors for my airline project?
Question:
Answer:
Damn that's quite an undertaking there...
It seems like most people who create companies with high start-up costs have some connections to wealthy people who can provide the funding, or they've run a smaller business successfully for a few years to gain public investors' trust (for instance Richard Branson of Virgin Airlines). But anyway, the main option for people who aren't already wealthy is to attract the attention of a private equity firm or more specifically a venture capital firm. A regular investment bank could also be used to find investors, but as far as I know they are more interested in underwriting for more established companies (i.e. doing the debt and equity (stock) offerings). So that would be my plan: pitch your plan to some venture capitalists, and if none bite try to find some wealthy investors through investment banks. Personally though, if I were you I would try something much easier than an airline, because, as you know, airlines have, as a whole, lost more money than they've made, and it will be hard to sell your plan, let alone find enough money even if you do find a few investors.
