One of my friend asked me to install his Bluetooth device Software and test whether it was working. But during installation, a message came out saying this software has not passed windows logo test. However, since I had not adequate knowledge about it, I gave up installing that and uninstalled the software from Add/Remove software option. Now that, every time I am starting my computer, I promts me that new hardware found, install the hardware. But I am unable to trace any signature of Bluetooth, anywhere in my drive. How can I get rid of this prompt. It is irritating me a lot. Please help

again try to install that hardware, and install it completely and then uninstall it. u'll get rid of it.
else format ur drive. and re-install ur OS.
there is an option dont promt this device installation again or something.
this comes in the same window if u say next and if it did not find a driver.
read the instructions properly u will get it.
open hidden folders in search, and look for it, may have to delete in safe mode
what are you trying to ask here? you are asking how to discard a hardware, but you also metioned you installed a Bluetooth software.
you could always go into your Program files and delete the folder were created by the installation
