I need some tips to join in software company from those who are working in software.?
Question:
Answer:
It's not hard, but to do it you have to focus more on marketing than your technical abilities. I've known guys who are complete idiots get jobs working as computer programmers and have the management love them, while highly skilled programmers who always get their work done on time are passed over because they are not able to speak English clearly and are not as good at selling their skills as being better than they really are.
If you already have the technical knowledge you need, and if you already have some experience, focus on your speaking and friendliness to make sure you can get placed.
First, since software companies often maintain databases with other people's personal information they may require a police check or background investigation along with a drug test. The technical tests required will depend on the job, but a basic logic test may apply to all jobs. If you're going to be programming in a specific language and you claim to have taken a class for that language they may ask you to bring a sample program you wrote so that you can demo it for them. Please keep in mind that the main thing with IT jobs is that you get along with others on the team, so if you already know someone who works for that company be sure to mention it during the interview. Good Luck!
