Is anyone else having problems finding decent paying jobs in the Chicago area?
Question:
Does anyone think they have any jobs to offer? Does anyone else blame this on Blago? We do. I am just curious of what other peoples experience with this is.
Answer:
They want experience but don't want to pay for it! Been there done that! Been unemployed since Dec. and either they don't pay for crap, or they are affraid they will have to pay! Good luck to you's
Are you saying there are decent Jobs in America ?
Never you kidden me!
Don't worry something will come up, my husband has been applying everywhere for almost a year now and still looking! But hopefully, things will get better, best of luck!
The biggest reason I had to leave Chicago for the East Coast was because, once I was laid off, it took a job opportunity from out of state to keep me working in my chosen field.
My field is pretty specialized (systems requirements engineering), so very few, if any, employers in the Chicago area were looking for my skills. Project mgmt shouldn't be one of them, but I wouldn't be surprised if it takes a long while to get a bite.
Besides, unless he know someone on the inside of those companies he's applying for, a lot of those postings tend to be EEOC driven, in order to ensure that the jobs are openly posted before it ends up in the hands of an insider.
Blago may at times be a dope, but the employment situation isn't one of them I'd blame it on. I was laid off during George Ryan's time, so this thing has been happening a while.
