What type of education do I need to become a human resource manager?
Question:
Answer:
You might want to get a degree in Human Resources. Your skill set should be in the area you like or can find a job in such as 401K, hire and fire, safety and the like. The field has evolved into HR companies for hire, and HR people working for these companies. It is a good field. The stress varies on the company and an internship/ coop would be a great start.
A Business degree would also be good (many schools don't offer a general HR degree). Many MBA programs offer HR specialties.
I dont know how the educational system works over there but here in order to be a Human Resource Manager or to be in human resources the best college course to take would be Bachelor of Arts in Psychology or any social science related course. Some universities offer industrial psychology which is specifically geared for industrial human resources.
