The Job Interview, Has this ever happend to you?
Question:
The engineer replied, "In the neighborhood of $125,000 a year, depending on the benefits package."
The interviewer said, "Well, what would you say to a package of 5 weeks vacation, 14 paid holidays, full medical and dental, company-matching retirement fund to 50% of salary, and a company car leased every 2 years - say, a red Corvette?"
The engineer sat up straight and said, "Wow! Are you kidding?"
The interviewer replied, "Well yeah, but you started it."
Answer:
funny. thanks.
At that point, the HR guys is saying you should look for another job, but in a mean way.
Actually, that does sound like my job interview... Only they gave me 6 weeks of paid vacation!
I've seen this before at this site. I even think it was posted by you. It was funny the first time.
I think it was probably a way to find out a little more about the job applicant, mostly his reactions and true ambitions! It wasn't very nice but then ... It seems ... These days anything can be said during the course of an interview and all you can do is sit tight and try not get distracted or annoyed. It feels more like being on trial than simply being interviewed for a vacancy!
it still is funny..its the first time I saw it...that was pretty good...
Nope. I ask for the high end of - but *within* - the salary range and get it in every job I've had for the last six years. Why sell yourself short? (No, I didn't attend MIT.)
"It's alright! It's okay!
