Our world population is currently 6.6 billion and analyst have forecast we will reach our peak population of about 9 million in 2050, well within my lifespan. When in just 1800s the population was close to 1 billion now has reach 6.6 times more(we are talking about BILLIONS!) in a short span of about 150 years( compared to when human first evolve 200'000 years ago)!!
Can the resources of Earth sustain life?? At least i know that i will die in 2070 according to the mean average lifespan in my country... I shudder to think what will become of my kids and grandchildren in the future world...

No, not " ... if it continues to grow at this unprecedented rate ...". After a few more centuries, at this rate, the entire land surface of the globe will be covered with humans to the depth of 30 feet. A few more centuries, and humanity will be expanding into space at the speed of light.
This is obviously impossible, so the pop must drop.

It is impossible for the earth to sustain the growth of humnity, but humanity will survive for many years to come. When the earth can no longer support such a large number of consumers, there will probably be a fairly large decrease in population over a short period of time - both caused by mans chaos and by natural causes. The greatest causes for concern lie with the long term effects of our changing ecosystem. Loosing links in the chain of life will cause dramatic changes quickly, but humans are the most able to adapt to new environments through technology.
I think so but life would be harder. In the future, houses would be smaller, laws must be imposed on cutting down food consuming of families depending on the family's size, more infrastructure, etctetera, etcetera. Why are you asking us? We don't know the answer! You think we're psychic? Anyway, my guess is that life would be harder.
By the way, all that wouldn't happen if those stupid people who cause artificial scarcity didn't buy too much for themselves.

simply because we will kill each other off, when the need arises. look how europes population droped after each war. look whats going on right now,with all the killing world wide. the killing will go on and on. in fact, by the turn of the next century, there will probably be less people on earth.
