Not sure what your question exactly is, but there are multiple methodologies for successfully managing projects. There is also numerous software applications which help you manage them, such as Microsoft Project, which is the most common.
Not sure what the question is either. BUT, there is more to project management than just keeping track of tasks and monies. Getting people to work together on a cross functional, cross cultural, and cross global team involves much more. And less is better! (than complicated methodologies that take too much time and effort and divert attention from the real project at hand.
