Question: What is the definition of a project? What are some of the elements that differentiate a project from maintenance work?

Answer:
Project management can be used for maintenance work.
Some organizations differentiate project work based upon total hours of effort or cost involved. Others consider the composition of the workers involved in the project. Others by how the work is funded. You may find a textbook definition but each organization will make its own judgment.
