ISO will stay but they will keep updating the standards as they do know. There is a difference between ISO and the others you mention. I use six sigma techniques in the measuring clause of ISO. JIT and Kanban are inventory systems. I use 5S as an organization and culture change tool, and Kaizen (continuous improvement) and lean can also be used as tools to improve an organizations system while streamlining and promoting ownership. The one next to kaizen and lean manufacturing is Lean six sigma.
It is the latest buzz word in the industry . It focuses on continual improvement and variability reduction and leads to total quality management.
