Can you explain to me in depth why human resources are so important in a company?

Question:
people say HR is so important but i know some companies treat employees like if they were nothing.
HR is the department responsible for providing the firm with qualified and able personnel, as the major factor. Beyond that, HR is there to deal with the myriad issues which develop with having humans work for a firm. It handles employment issues, compensation issues, worker's compensation issues, and the list goes on.

HR staff need to be aware of the assorted and numerous legal requirements involved with employing people. They are the folks who try to insure that the law is followed, and that employees are treated according to the law.
