nature will take care of itself. that might mean millions of peple will die but it will be necessary.
eventually we will begin to have children limits all over the globe. China is allready doing it. Im sure many people will die. One ovious but immoral way to control it would be cannabalism. We would have food to feed many, no waste, and apparently human flesh is the most tender and delisious meat on earth. Will we ever stoop that low?!?
There are two courses: humankind will strip Earth completely, exhausting all resources, then eventually die out leaving a fairly barren land that will support basic life. Over eons, Earth will return to a more diverse ecological model with more complex and evolving animal species.
The second is that we can begin to restrain consumption and better utilize the resources we have.
I think as a species, we are compelled to pursue the first option, and like lemmings will create our own cliffs from which to jump and perish.
