Which career to take?

Question:
I have done BCA and MCA from India, have teaching exp(5 yrs+) in the subject of computer sc.(+2 students). Right now I am US(bay area) since the last 4 yrs..after getting married. I have a 2 yr old son and now I would like to do some job in the field of computer but I don't have any software industry experience. Can someone pls suggest as to which course I should take up which can land me in good job. I have heard a lot about software testing. Can someone suggest me any consulting company where i can take up the course and then land in a good job.

Thanks.

Answer:
You do not need an experience to get a job. You know the theory, so you have the following options:

1. Work from home or get some outsourced jobs
2. Locate any company you want to be part of or work in - Tell them you have worth of theory and teaching experience and you believe that you can compliment their team and also it will offer you an opprtunity to enhance your understanding of what you know better.

Tell them of how important MCA and what you know will be beneficial to their organisation
IT is a hot demand job..You will certainly land one...

So either you start something on your own or you apply to any company of your choice. You can be:

1. Computer Systems Admin
2. Networking etc Security analyst
3. Network Infrastructure espert

You can work in:

A bank
A financial institution
Any company that has computers and databases and needs administration
Any internet company or company with W/LAN etc

Or your own internet company. Its not easy to start though.

Good luck but just apply and talk them out when being interviewed. you know a lot and you need to put it in practice and compliment organisations..

Cheers!! let us know if you succeed...
