Who is legally held responsible when a owner switches management teams?

Question:
My husband and I have signed a TAA (Texas Apartment Association) lease contract with a management team and the owner of the property we are renting switched teams, but we haven't signed a new contract yet. I was just wondering if any of you had any legal advice on this.

Answer:
The management company may have handled the lease signing, but the lease should have been between you and the landlord. You shouldn't have to sign a new lease.
