What are my credentials worth?

Question:
This year I was able to obtain my MBA as well as my PMP (Project Management Professional) certification. The MBA came from a smaller school that is far from being among the elite, but the program and school are accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE) and Middle States Association regional accreditation. I worked hard to get the MBA but I'm worried that employers will not value an MBA from an average school. I keep reading about how important AACSB accreditation is for MBA programs.

As far as the PMP goes, it is the most significant professional project management cert you can get and the exam is very tough. Do you think those credentials should help me find a good new job? Oh and I have worked for the last 7 years in one of the biggest and most respected companies in the world (IT area).

Thanks.

Answer:
I think your credentials in addition to your work history/work ethic should get you a VERY good new job. I wish I had an advanced degree, but couldn't afford grad school. Someday... Anyway, don't be worried about your MBA being from a smaller school. If there is any question, stress the accreditation. Good luck.
