Question:
ok, before I get the normal dumm answers I do know about computers Right does anyone know how to disable the Nvidia System sentinel. It keeps comming up saying that there's not enough power. This is rubbish as I have tested the voltages of the power supply and every one is fine. The only one thing that I have found out is that casue of the age of the card Sparkle 5900xt the bios isnt fully compatable with the newer drivers. Even if you uninstall the newer drivers the newer version of the sentinel is still embedded which popes up when you dont want it. It's a software problem that I wish to turn off without having to reinstall windows I want this sentinel turned off as there's nothing wrong with the card power supply etc. jsut need the sentinel turned off and a way to do it. The supply is 600w and in perdect working order, the Graphics are fine and mother board is all ok so please read this before you answer. Thanks
Answer:
Start->Run->type MSconfig
Then go to the startup tab.
It should be under there as whatever the process name is. Just uncheck it. Hit apply then when you computer restarts a window pops up telling you that things have been changed. This will pop up everytime so hit that do not show again message. Everything is still ok.
Or go under start menu->all programs->start up
And delete the short cut out of there if there is one. If not do the other thing i said.
if you card needs a power conector make sure its connected properly
