Problem with getting my monitor/s to work on a computer... absolutely nothing goes to screen?
Question:
Answer:
Do u see the Lights on ur CPU or computer.?
Do you see lights on the Monitor that its turned on ?
The video card might be bad. Replace it.
Two things can cause this:
1) video card is bad or is loose. My parents had the same problem last week and I reseated the video card and it works fine
2) new motherboard's chipset drivers won't allow your video card to work due to power requirements. If you have a new mobo and an old AGP 2x card, it might not work because of how the mobo is designed. You can get the latest bios revision for your motherboard and load them to see if it helps.
If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.

Upon reinstallation of the operating system, those symptoms are never caused by drivers. The video card or onboard video of any machine will always work in the most basic mode to give you a picture on the monitor. When you install the drivers, picture clarity, resolution, and video speed improve, but you are never without video. Your problem is a hardware problem. Just like the answerers above me said, check your video connections. It might be time to replace some old parts.
