Webcam causes YM to crash?
Question:
i am having a strange problem with using webcam on yahoo messenger. Each time i try to switch my webcam on yahoo messenger, the messenger crashes and i have to reboot my computer. I have tried yahoo's webpage where you can test your webcam and that page also crahes. I have a logitech cam pro 4000. I have latest drivers and i have also checked my registry for the UseVFW entry. The cam works fine otherwise on the logitech software. I have also updated my activeX controls but still nothing.cant seem to figure out what to do. In fact, the cam use to work perfectly fine previously ith yahoo but since i have downloaded the latest update something has gonbe wrong and i am unable to switch to last good configuration. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try the following:
Restart Computer > Click Start > Run > type regedit > Enter > expand HKEY_CURRENT_USER folder > expand Software folder > select Yahoo > select Webcam folder > click New (on edit menu) > New > DWORD Value > type UseVFW > Double click on UseVFW > change value data to 1 > try webcam again.
