Question:
I interviewed for about 2 hours today with a hiring manager that reinterated that the job is very fast-paced, and at times can be very hectic. I told her that I was up for the challenge, and that I need something that exercises my brain. At the end of the interview, she said to take a couple of days and think about it. Then contact the recruiter in human resources and let him know. Then, I said that I think this job would be perfect for me to gain experience in my career field. Then she said to contact Ryan (the recruiter) in a few days and talk to him about it. Did I get the job, or not? I thought that was weird.
Answer:
i think you got the job! congratulations!
You are hired, they may not have talked money yet but the job is yours if you want it. Congratulations.
That is indeed very unusual, nothing that I have experienced in my 35 years of working. But would do exactly as she asked. Sounds like they may not be convinced that you really want the job, thats the only thing I can pull out of this.
I think that you probably can be hired but that they are worried that you don't understand how difficult the job is. Call them back it a couple days, say Thursday because Wednesday is a holiday and read back to them what they say about the job and that you want it and why you want such a difficult job.
Don't start spending the money until you have completed the HR paperwork and showed up for your first day.
It sounds like there are too many ways for them to not hire you. Contact Ryan and get your paperwork completed.
call Ryan and hash out the details
