Single deck blackjack?
Question:
I found this casino with single deck blackjack with the following rules: blackjack pays 3 to 2, dealer hit soft 17, double after split, split up to four hands, double on any first two card, and late surrender available. The house edge under these rules is .01%. I plan to use the Revere point count for betting strategy. We plan to use a betting spread of $100 to $400. Basically I will bet $100 on negative and plus count of 1,2,3. Whenever the Revere point count indicates a player edge of 2% and above which is plus count of 4 and up, I will put in a max bet of $400. I have a bankroll of $20,000. What do you think my long-term return under this better strategy and chance of total ruin from this bankroll. Can someone run this test in their BJ simulation software.
I'm not sure how it will turn out. While those are very liberal rules as far as single deck games go, most casinos will only deal one hand per shuffle. They will also put all of the player's first two cards down. This only gives you less than half of the cards exposed, so it is difficult to have an accurate count. If they are insane and deal more than one hand per shuffle, then you can make it work. Good luck.
That's a great answer by potsie.
In addition to the problems he described, if you start to do extremely well, they will simply ask you to leave. So the computer simulation is irrelevant. If you play perfect strategy and are an expert at the betting and card counting system you described, and you are able to win big, they will kick you off the table long before you can turn any kind of significant profit. So the potential profits you calculate on a simulator may ignore the reality that your time playing may be curtailed by the casino.
Also if the casino employs some of the strategies that potsie mentioned, your estimated house edge may be incorrect.
I don't know where your able to play SINGLE deck BlackJack with those rules (unless its an online casino).. But, if you can.. I would RUN over there and play... I've been in the casino business for over 13 years as a dealer and NEVER in my life heard of those "easy and open" rules on single deck BlackJack.. Most of the time they will havee some of theses rules but, never ll of them.. It gives the players a HUGE advantage..
The only thing you hav to be careful of is being caught or labeled as a card counter and then black booked from most or all the casinos..
But, to answer your question.. If you play by the book and take your hits when your suppose to and stay when your suppose too.. And the other players on your table do the same.. You have around a 97% to 99% chance of winning.. Just remeber one thing.. You don't have to win all the casinos money in one siting.. The longer you play.. The more the odds go back into the casinos favore..
If you have any other questions feel free to ask me anything... More than happy to help..

Jason sounds about right mate, if it were my casino and you played the way you seem to want to you would last about 10 minutes. Then you wouldn't be playing BJ anywhere.
