I'm a software tester and I got married to a French girl. My wife insists that I should live in France. As of now i have 5 years of experience in software testing and i want to know how is the openings for the tester post in France.
Answer:
It depends on what the salaries are in your country. I live in France with my husband who works in software development. If we went to the U.S. he would make 3 times the salary he makes here. On the other hand, here he has a 35 hour work week and 5 weeks of vacation per year.
The unemployment here is high as well, and raises are very rare.
Oh, and getting a job as a foreigner can be difficult. The French tend to be quite ethno-centric.
