Should I quit?
Question:
After May, they cancelled their cleaning service, and had me doing all the cleaning. Well, after reading I came up with a contract which was agreed upon with the nanny service to ask for more money for what I was doing.
The boys clean and vacuum their rooms and pick up after themselves. She said I misunderstood and she wants them to help clean the bathrooms, mop the floors etc. Before, she wanted it to be a punishment (but the boys thought of it as fun). I thought their "extra" chores ended. She also told me I need to put all the towels away, and make sure I put away the dishes (I run it just before I leave, AND do the dishes from their weekend). There are other things I do "wrong" too. I was also doing the parent's laundry too.
Should I quit?

Answer:
As long as it's not excessively bad and having a negative impact on other parts of your life, I would probably stick with it, since you are planning on going back to school in the fall anyways. It probably wouldn't be worth the trouble of having to find another full time job for the remaining summer months. You can always decide later if you want to continue to watch them afterschool.
They sound like bad employers, for sure, but for such a short amount of time, personally I would just suck it up and just keep reminding myself that it's only til Fall.
Be more anal than they are. Quit and forget about giving them notice. Jobs come and go, this one included too.
hey if your not happy quit
Have you tried to express your feelings to them? If they won't work with you, and you are feeling more frustration and stressful than the job is worth, put in your notice. Regardless of how horrible your job is, you may need them for a reference some day. If you are dependant on the job for your financial state, then stick it out and find healthy ways to deal with the stress once you are away from the situation. Good luck!
