I receive hundreds of mails in Outlook'03 every day. How can I best manage with rules and local folders?

Question:
I receive hundreds of mails in Outlook'03 every day. They are from different projects that I manage and have different topics like finance, technical and management. If I put it in a folder based on Project, I do not have a view of all finance of management discussions and if I categorize accoring to Projects I face similar problems. Can anybody tell me if there is any best practice in storing mails and how can I best manage with rules and local folders?

Answer:
By creating a rule with Outlook's Rule Wizard, you can automate processing messages. A rule is a set of conditions, actions, and exceptions that organizes messages. For example, you can creat a rule to have OUtlook automatically move all messages you receive from a particular individual to a specific folder. You can access the Rules WIzard by choosing Tools, Rules WIzard from the menu.
Try setting up a set of complex rules such as if the email contains the words "finance" or "money" AND "XYZ project" and is from "John Smith" then send it to specified folder. With outlook 2003 it is easy to set up incredibly complex rules.
