I am looking for an inexpensive way to achieve my PMI certification online. I will be paying for this myself. Hoping to advance with my company to become a PM. Once the experienced is gained, I can concentrated on other facets of project management.

Good luck to you! I would just like to say that you should look to traditional institutions that offer certification online rather than non-accredited, profit-motivated companies whose certification papers aren't worth the paper they are printed on.
Not knowing where you are, I can't offer any places specifically, but even though it is online I would suggest talking to people in person at institutions of learning about the online certifications they offer.
