Question:
new driver (downloaded), 3 new cartridges, reinstalled drivers, leaves not a trace of ink on paper. Lex.. keeps telling me to clean contacts on cartridges. Not a cart. problem. Ink will wick onto damp paper. something in software or hardware. printer goes through every motion, no trace of ink. default ok, says ready on control panel, not paused, everything i can find indicates ok; stupid thing just will not leave any ink on paper. will not print test or alignment pages. Could have bought new printer for what i have spent on cart.'s. Have tried 20 different files to print. Have re-connected usb cabl. Was printing when previous cart ran out of ink. prev cart was refill. all since are out of orig Lex packaging from Office Supply. HELP!!
Answer:
Use some rubbing alcohol to clean the contact on the ink and in the printer cartage holder. sounds like the print head in the ink cartage is dirty.
