Here's a topic I'm currently facing.
How Project Management Is Affected By Company Culture
Here's why I say this. My current project is the installation of a major software application ($2.6mil). As we searched for the experts in each funcational business area we came to realize that while our company appears to be unified, it was in fact divided. These divisions were along departmental lines as responsibilities and accountability issues led to lots of finger pointing and double entry of work to compensate for the divisions.
The new system is tightly integrated with other corporate systems and therefore requires more 'personnel' integration. This requires a huge buy-in from the employees for the corporate culture change required to insure a sucessful project.
Any major project that affects multiple functional business areas will run into this issue.
