Is it ok to purchase software that is "NFR" (not for resale)?

Question:
Is it ok to purchase software that is "NFR" (not for resale)? The price difference on the product is so vast that it makes me think something's wrong with it. Can I trust that the product (MS Project Management 2003 standard) will be warranteed by the original manufacturer if it is a NFR?

Answer:
No, it's not okay. That's why it's marked NOT FOR RESALE!
I have found that software marked "Not For Resale" is not the full featured version --- and certainly is not supprted by the original manufacturer. I frequently get OEM (to be distributed by Original Equipment Manufactures) versions of Nero and other programs as a bonus with some other order. These programs function in a limited way, but you cannot get updates from the authors' web sites. There is nothing illegal in buying such limited versions (it saves you the trouble of downloading free programs). I think it is illegal for the person who sells them to you.
NO, it's NOT OK. It's illegal and both of the above answers are true. How naive are you?
