Best way to do small business financial research?

Question:
I am looking for a way to check out potential suppliers for my company. I don't have a Dunn and Bradstreet account but want to find out about my prospective suppliers financial health, management/owner structure, history of litigation etc. Are there sites on the net that can do this for me for a reasonable fee? At minimum I am trying to obtain company credit worthiness and information BEFORE I award large contracts to them. Any thoughts are welcome. Thank You!
check website and supplier visit . talk to experts also.consu ltants organizations
If the company is public, the annual report will give insights on the various issues of the company:health, credit worthingness, litigation, management structure etc. One other approach is to go through D&B, I believe that you can still receive information about these companies, for a fee of course. As for the most practical approach, I suggest you ask the potential supplier(s) to provide you the information you are requesting, information such as references for both current/previous suppliers, customers, banking relations etc... It is a legitimate request and a legitimate company will not have any problems supplying you with that information; you should not feel as if it is not reasonable to ask for it, afterall, you're creating a long term relationship that must add value to your product/services. I call it business dating with marriage potential. Good Luck!
