Question:
I need some words of encouragement. I my first semester of freshman year of college at the end of August. I am taking 12 hours (4 classes). They are Eng. 1301, Hist. 1301, Political Science, and Math of Business Analysis. The math class I am told is a calculus level class. I am not good at math but I worked hard during college algebra last year (I took it for college credit in high school) and I passed with a strong B. I am not afraid of the hard work but I need reassurance that I can do this even though I am not any where near the best student at math. I am willing to work hard for the grade. I am just a little scared. Half of it is just the regular stress of moving out for the first time. But the other half is just anxiety over this class. I have taken the prereqs. and I have done fine (well that strong B) in them because I worked hard. In your opinion, do you think I will have the same luck with this class?
I wouldn't imagine using calculus in this class. Youll probably spend time on polynomials, linear algebra (matrices), linear programming, probability, statistics, finance, and interest rates. Shouldn't be too hard.
