In clarification to my earlier question, I would like to work in America but need help to get a work permit?
Question:
I've never heard of anyone getting an H visa with those skills. I don't think it would be legal to give an H visa to someone with those skills. Millions and millions of Americans have those skills, and a company would have to prove that there are no Americans qualified before they could give out an H visa.
You will have to find yourself an employer in your field who is willing to sponsor you. I suggest you make a list of companies and organizations that may use the skill sets you have and apply to them. Who knows, one of them may actually be interested in your services.
You never know until you try who will help you get a temporary work visa such as H1B or immigration through employment. I know of accountants and even research assistants who got sponsorship from employers and received H1B visas -- fields that at first glance companies will just hire Americans
One way is to come to the US, maybe as a tourist. Once here, you can explore the possibility of finding an employer who can sponsor you. The advantage is that employers are more willing to look at your application as you are already here and can be interviewed as against showing your address as South Africa or Vietnam.
