Activities also include managing your approach to employee benefits and compensation, employee records and personnel policies. These policies are often in the form of employee manuals, which all employees have.

They are supposed to be there to protect the employee and to support them in the company but really they only protect the companies interest first.

They are also supposed to be responsible for employee recognition and performance review but some bright spark decided this was too hard for human resources to handle so they came up with the idea of the employee writing their own review on their performance. Most employees dont have much experience with this so cant write or prove all the good work they have done, then it is the employees fault they dont get a good pay rise because they cant make their review sound better.
