I was wrongfully suspened from my job accused of taking a ice cream bar. However, my leadman cleared me from any wrong doing, he accepted full responsability for taking the ice cream himself. One of the supervisorS failed to accept the leadmans report and I was called 3 days later, suspended from my duties and humiliated by being escorted out of the premises like a criminal. That same day I was told by the supervisor he would call me back after completing the investigation, he stated this would take 2-3 days. It's been 5 days and no call. I contacted Human Resources and told me they have no record to the matter, I was told and given a # to call and speak to a different supervisor, I called and left a recorded message.(NO ANSWER YET!). As a student I need my job, it's very important to me to clear my name, I've been accepted to a different position that will benefit my career,I fear I'm going to be denied the opportunity unless it's resolved PLEASE HELP ME!

you may be able to collect unemployment for time missed but you would have to do it soon i think

More than likely your screwed because it's your word and in this government you word isn't good enough. I would contact the labor board.

Call your state labor board, file a complaint aganst them. Your rights have been violated. You are due compensation for your lost wages, if you are innocent then you should not be punished. If all else fails contact a lawyer or someone involved in labor law.

You need to immediately begin searching for a new job, just in case this one never continues. You have a right to resume work, or be terminated so that you can collect unemployment. If they elect to terminate you, tell them to do it in writing, in case either of you needs to file a lawsuit later.

Your ability to file suit later depends on your damages, how long it takes to find a new job. But you don't usually get 100% of your loss back, especially after legal fees. So it's better, MUCH better, to simply find a new job.

Do you have someone at your work you can trust, and who was happy with your work? Ask them to write you a letter of reference, or a letter of recommendation. That's a big help in your next step.

I'm not a lawyer. You should seriously consider talking to one, especially if this is as important as your letter seems.
