How many times can you change careers?

Question:
I used to work in finance , now I am in advertising.Even though I like it , I cant help but think I might be better suited to be in human resources. Why am I so indecisive and how can I be happy with what I have without switching careers so much? Should I just follow my impulse and switch again?
Generally speaking, frequent changes look bad on a resume, in your case, it sounds as though you are making progression changes. As long as you are lateral or elevated in pay scale and sit on a job for two years or better on average, you should be ok for a while. But try to settle, future employers do frown on hoppers.
