2 page resume when you have almost 10 years experience?

Question:
I am applying for a management position at a Fortune 100 company in the benefits program.

I have not had a management position at my current job but have been there for almost 9 years doing what this new company is looking for. I have stood in as acting manager for groups of new hires, trained, coached them on the job. I have managed my own customer calls and project work, etc, etc. I have created projects and training materials. I also handle client and customer escalations. I maintain updates for my team and provide ongoing training. I have been a lead player in many successful pilot programs for my current company.

When I honestly capture my contributions, its a full 2 page resume. What should I whittle out or since this is a management position would a 2 page resume work?

Answer:
A management position calls for much more. Often management and professional resumes are much longer by necessity. You have more you must show to the prospective employer. There really is not hard and fast rule about number of pages. When it comes to these types of positions.

In academia positions these can go on for many pages.

Just make sure you follow the basic rules of readability. Lots of white space. Use brief phrases not complete sentences.
Bullet points are good.

It should be well organized. With the most important at the top.

Have someone go over it for and get their feedback.
No typos

Do not put in such fluff as "reference available" It is assumed they are available. Do not list your references. Do not put in anything that is extra curricular in you life UNLESS it has a direct obvious application to the position which you are applying for.

On these resumes you do no list every job only those that demonstrate some application to your new job. Don't list high schools or grammar schools.
No. One page resume is still the rule. People dont have time to read every word. Compress all you got in one page. Save the details for an interview.
Two pages is fine. One page is okay if you're just out of school.

Be sure to focus on RESULTS instead of what you did. Good luck!
humm, make it more brief or direct compress those sentences.. they will be tired reading the 2 pages resume..
ex. I worked as a blah blah blah in my past years and i had my experience for over 9 years and blah blah, so i hope you will hire me.
suggestion: I worked as a blah blah for 9 years and i am aplying here because i am capable to work to the said job.
The reason for a one or two page summarized resume is to provide recruiters the opportunity to get to know you in the limited time they have. The challenge for you is to make it attractive for the reader while it outlines your skills. There are resume writing services available on line (you've to pay of course), in the career / jobs web sites... given the importance of the document you'll build, I'd suggest you invest something on it by using one of these services.
My husband has the same problem only it's trying to put 21 years of IT onto a resume without looking crowded or being to overwhelming.
Don't worry, 2 pages is ok, even if it is advisable to have the resume done on 1 page. 2 it's ok for someone having your experience. What you can do is choose some things to anhance in your cv, meaning place them at the beginning, if they are useful for the job you seek. If you seek one.

Here are some "Markers" on how a resume should look like, from the point of view of format.
