What is the word processing( same in function to Microsoft Word) program on the Mac ?
Question:
Answer:
There is a Microsoft Office for Mac available. It contains OS X versions of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Entourage, and its files are fully compatible with Office for Windows. If you don't want to shell out the dough, however, you might want to check out NeoOffice, which is a full featured suite of office applications like Microsoft Office, and it even opens and creates Office files which are fully compatible with Office for Mac and for PC. Best of all, it's free! I've used it a little and it works pretty good. Go to www.neooffice.org to download it.
Another option is the $79 iWork suite by Apple, which includes a word processor called Pages and a Powerpoint-like application called Keynote. Pages is not as powerful as Word is and is focused more on design. It also doesn't open Word files that I'm aware of. But it does give you something to use for word processing, and includes a lot of beautiful templates. If design is important to you, check it out.
there is a copy not trial if you want buy it but it costs a lot not sure how much
I don't have a Mac but it must have something similar to Windows, i.e., Start, Programs -- where programs are listed, or a Control Panel where you could check its comparable Add/Remove.
Check this out. It might be something you would want to download and it says it is free.

Another option is to but appleworks. Appleworks is macs version of Microsoft word. It is much more limited than Microsoft office, but it runs for only about $70 dollars.
