Can i give job ads on my blog? Would it be illegal?

Question:
Hi,

I am working with Human Resources in a software development firm. If i publish job vacancies in my blog (eg., in glogspot) would it be legal or illegal?

Please advise.

Thanks in advance,
Sajal Jaiswal

Answer:
The clever thing to do would be making it clear that those jobs are with the company not yourself, and that you are posting it purely "as is", as a public service, without warranties of any kind, and on understanding that you cannot be held liable/responsible for the content of those job adverts.

You can either put the disclaimer there in a smallprint, or you can put * behind every job advert and put a footnote on the page stating that * means the disclaimer above etc. As long as the disclaimer is there in some form, you should be covered.

If you want to cover yourself 100%, you should put a disclaimer on a clickable page - which would only open up/show a page with job adverts if the reader specifically agreed to the disclaimer by pressing YES button.

If the reader chooses the NO button (not agreeing to the disclaimer), the page should take him to the beginning of your website.
