in class were doing this project where you pick a career and you get a yearly and monthly wage and you have to subtract every day things like car insurance...we have to see how much money you end up with and Human Resource Managers make like 63,000 a year..and i was just wondering wat it was

The HR manager is in many respects a Jack of All Trades who is the go-between for employees and the corporation. His/Her department is responsible for setting policies regarding hiring, firing, recruiting, complaints, etc. They literally manage the human commodity (the employees). I've seen alot of people who really like this job but it takes a certain type of person as it can be a stressful job.
It's what used to be called Personnel Management.
You are responsible for hiring and firing employees.
You arrange for Medical Insurance, and all the other details that have to do with your companies employees.
Any problems that the employees have, it's your job to sort them out.
You are the liaison, between Management and Employees.
HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER

A Human Resource (HR) Manager assists companies and organisations to develop and implement policies relating to staff recruitment, industrial relations, training and development of staff.

A HR Manager may:

Interview prospective staff
Plan and conduct training courses
Assist operational staff guide and counsel employees
Negotiate remuneration packages
SCOPE:

Human Resource Managers are usually employed by larger organisations and companies. In some situations they act as internal consultants to the management team while in other cases they may specialize in one or more areas of Human Resource Management.

COURSES AND TRAINING:

Generally people entering the Human Resource field have completed a degree in business management or related disciplines. Studies can be done at many universities or TAFE Institutes.
A Human Rescoure Manager is responsible for the employment, training and supervision of staff. They start off as HR consultants, learning the ropes so to speak. A HR Manager is usually found in large corporations and companies. They oversee all the various divisions/sections of a business ensuring that there are enough staff rostered or working within the sections. They liaise with the senior management constantly as staffing levels change. Other functions include payroll, performance reviews and disciplining staff. This is a general overview of what a Human Resource Manager does.
A human resource manager is an administrative job. The oversee office personnel. They are responsible for the processing of payroll and worker comp claims. They are the supervisor of all administrative work related to the employees of a company.
