In our company the bigest problem facing the HR department is that we are slowly dissolving the positions and the department all togehter. So much recruiting, screening and administrative functions are either being shared accross multiple departments or business units or outsourced to other companies.
Its too bad because I know most people want to be able to walk into an HR persons office whenever there is an issue or questions, but its becoming a thing of the past.
