The term "recommendation" can refer to a positive comment or a negative comment. They have either recommended you for the position or recommended that you NOT be hired. In any event, you should definitely follow it up.
Nothing wrong if you try. Some papers get lost in a company's file or just lying around unread. lnquiring about your status will tell if they are interested in hiring you.
Yes go ahead especially if you think you like to have the job but you should do a better job at some of your spelling. You can use the spelling check on YA before you send out a thank you note I'm to hear that I've made it to passed the interview and have been recommended at the human resource level. Has you can see I used one c but my comas' apostrophes sucks so they wouldn't consider me. You don't want to lose a job potential all because you made a simple grammar error. Use spelling check to double check your spelling and have some one to proof read what your going to send. Todays job market is very competitive and they won't hire you over one little mistake but they'll also let you go over one little mistake in an 8 hour day I know I've lost a few good jobs over one little mistake even though I did so much work.
Why don't you call HR and introduce yourself, stating you had interviewed with so & so and your still very interested in the position and what times you'd be available to meet. . Also in the future after an interview it's always great to send a short Thank you Note for their time and reiternate the best points of why your looking forward to working with them. Best of luck.
