For doing some tests we need a camera that can be adjusted to take pictures in controllable times (lets say every 10 min.). Probably there should be a software to control the camera to capture images in adjustable times. Then the camera should transfer pics to the computer so we can have access to the pics without going to the spot of the camera.

Try Fuji S20Pro model - It have a software for this and if you connect it by means of IEEE port it can be operated FROM computer directly. The only one I know, sorry! I have this model muself and it IS able to do what you mean!
