I have a great business plan, but I need money?
Question:
I am a software developer and I have a very good idea about a website.
Here is a brief explanation about the business plan and idea.
Please read:
I want to create a "podcast search engine". For those of you who don't know a "Podcast" is a very popular form of internet broadcasting. It is in fact the next level of internet multimedia. The next one...after the images, the video sites... And as you know video media search engines like Youtube are getting millions (Youtube was bought by Googlr Inc. for over 1 billions USD...that is correct).
If you don't believe me that the idea is good.see what is the next project of Yahoo: http://podcasts.yahoo.com/
Yahoo are now testing this great idea.
I need at least 5000$ to start this business. And I can promise to you great return within a few months. The money will be spend for hosting, advertising, and data setting.
Thanks:

Check out Prosper.com, a peer-to-peer lending service. You state your case for your loan, and people fund it if they think your business plan, and credit are worth it. You don't need to have perfect credit.
What I would do is get a free paypal account.
Then put the paypal button on a page and have investors go there to pay you.
It is easier as you know to get $100 here and there then one person paying $5000
The only thing is youtube, if you notice, is free to folks like you and I. It is the advertisers that pay and I think you are right in that it would work.
First you'd have to get the people there, which should be easy, then as you have it built up with visitors and hits, charge for the advertising.
One way you can get visitors is by giving away prizes for the best podcast etc..
I can see how it would work as you say.
If you can design a page where people pay you from it you can do good. A page like the one below for example, not exactly the same page but notice how if you click the pay area button how it collects the dough automatically.
Do you have a prototype?
