this lady worked on an ongoing project for 8 yrs, she was removed by new management. when management changed again she told many lies to regain the position. the lies were on me, of course. however, i have no power to make the position assignments but she holds me responsible for her removal. i like working this position and i do very well, i don't see why we cant work together except for her greed. how can i explain to the person responsible for the assigning of this position understand how i handle regaining this position.

the BAD good way is to brown nose, eavesdrop, and kiss up 2 your boss, the good way to handle it is to competitively out work her. also, find a way to expose her lie to the boss. if all else fails, then the job is not for you.
tell the truth and give proof. sooner or later that woman will lie and make a mistake, frame her, gather evidence to present it and then u will be rid of her forever. always be vigilant of her mistakes, and soon u will have some leverage against her.
