Need a video card?
Question:

Is this one good? Any other suggestions?
Answer:
The MX4000 is out of stock. What a blessing!
OK, I believe that you don't want to play games on it (I have a similar spare machine) but why buy something that will actually prevent playing some games? The MX4000 is poor - incompatible with a number of mainstream games. Avoid.
My non-gaming machines have passive graphics cards, a R9550 and a GeForce6200 - no significant difference, but more expensive than the MX4000...
The link below should yield an Egg search for AGP4/8x passive cards with both DVI and D-sub outputs which have hardware support for directX9, and 4 pixel pipelines.
The FX5200 seems well represented...
My experience with Asus and cooling problems would lead me to suggest that they should be avoided - the Asus FX5200 on this link may be only 8X rather than 4/8x ?
WATCH OUT for DVI-D see second link.
Bottom line: no gaming, no problem with the MX4000. But for the same money, you could keep your options open with a more mainstream card - the DVI-D thing is worrying, though.
Enjoy, whatever you get...
This should fit your needs. Just make sure you have the correct AGP slot on your motherboard for it. If you know the make and model of your motherboard, you can go to the manufacturer's website to be sure.
I hope this helps.
Yeah that one's fine for what you need.
