Question:
have been using my SONY CD-RW/DVD to copy files to. Now when I try to copy files I get the message ‘insert disk into drive D:But I have a disk inserted? I have used this device many times without problem - This is not a hardware issue (I have used the sony test drive software). I have used 5 different CD-R, so I rule out a fault with the disk. The driver is also the latest. I have tried a variety of file formats however I get the same result - Please insert disk!! I did ask this qusetion earlier have I said problem with CD ROM! In fact I still have the box the device came in and it reads SONY CD-RW/DVD-ROM (I think the ROM has mislead my previous request for help). Your hel will be appreciated.

Reboot your computer and insert a partially recorded CD-RW disc you recorded earlier when the drive was working. Can you still view the files you recorded on the disk? If so, now try recording an additional file on the disk.
