How do solve PC hardwares with the same IRQ conflict?
Question:
My integrated Audio and my integrated NIC shared the same IRQ 18 and was unable to change.
My Video card and the integrated AGP has conflict was cause blue screen of Death with title: " DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL"... the integrated was unable to turn off or change.
Any ideas how to solve?
In this case u have to re install the OS.Don't try to set IRQ manually .oh yes cif ur computer get start even in safe mode thn go to device manager and remove any one of the conflicying driver.then restart ur computer if it not recognise the device which u remove, then try with add new hardware. If any problem call=9836221937
boot into Safe mode with pressing F8 at the start up screen.then, when booted into Safe Mood, right click onto My Computer, and go to "Properties",,go to "Hardware Tab".go to device manager..and delete your network card...and your video card driver..computer should find IRQ's automatically available..and disperse them to the hardware properly...u will need to reboot...
Is the new Video Card AGP or PCI? if it's PCI and you have an extra slot left, you can try moving it to avoid the conflict of interest. I'm not so sure its really necessary to reinstall the whole OS though.
If you can't start your operating system, you can modify the IRQ settings in the BIOS setup program. Read carefully your motherboard's manual to find out how to do that.
If you can start windows (even in "Safe Mode"), right-click the "My Computer" icon on the desktop, click the "Device manager" tab, find the device that it's not working properly, double-click it, click the "Resources" tab, click to clear the "Use automatic settings" checkbox, double-click the "Interrupt Request" on the "Resource type" column, enter a different value for the IRQ and click "OK" in all the dialog boxes to save the settings. Restart the computer and see how it works.
To see what range of IRQs you can give for different devices, read the motherboard's instruction manual.
Goo luck!
