I have been offered a position with a company and have prescribed medicine which will show pos on drug test?

Question:
will show in my drug screen. As long as they are prescribed does the lab have the legal right to share with my new employer?

Answer:
I'm not positive but I think before you do the actual test you have to fill out a form that asks you to list anything in your system that would make a false positive. List it there.

Honesty is the best policy, if you are prescribed the drug, then it is legal and they cannot disqualify your application based on that.

Although, if you are currently going through Methadone treatments I would say that is "iffy" territory. Also, prescribed medicinal Marijuana is also "iffy territory. Not to me, but I can see a potential employer raising an eyebrow or two.

And YES, they do have the right to share all that info with your future employer. I believe you actually sign off on that before the tests.
ask the lab and if not illicit drugs advise your emplyer, honesty is the best
