Is anyone else out there getting fed up with all the law firm commercials on TV?

Question:
I just answered a question on annoying commercials and it made me think about this one. There are all these people on tv hollering about how they are the best, most hard hitting, most determined, never lose a case, will not take no for an answer, only have your best interest at heart lawyer on the planet. Please! The only interest they have at heart is lining their own pockets. I'm not knocking lawyers or denying that we need them in this society, but these people are practically begging people to make up a reason to sue someone. I've heard a lot of people use this expression, but particularly my dad. He always called them ambulance chasers. If they are so great and do such a good job shouldn't their work and reputation speak for itself? Maybe I'm looking at it the wrong way, but I don't think I could put much faith in a lawyer who is on my tv screen every 5 minutes begging for business. Any one else have an opinion? Please share your thoughts. Thanks for answering.

Answer:
The reason for the commercials is due to our society.we want to blame somebody else for our problems and lawyers are one of the best ways to do that.

I don't blame them for wanting to make money but they leave a trail of slime behind them ever were they go. But you HAVE to be honest.if you ever had to sue somebody do you want a good stand up guy or do you want a slime ball with no morals fighting for you in court because 9 times outta 10 I will want the slime ball. I know one lawyer so slimy that he accepts payment in cases of beer.
I don't think it cheapens the profession, as I think they are all cheap anyway. But they are annoying
Yes, and have you noticed there are lots of them on in the middle of the afternoon during bad talk shows like Jerry Springer. I guess they enjoy pandering to the unemployed and undereducated of society.
I sure am ... Sure makes today's society looking like a sue happy nation .
It gets annoying seeing the same lawyer commericial three times on the same program break .
Yes, I think it's truly sad that they're proud of keeping DUI offenders and white-collar criminals out of jail, and of aiding and abetting frivolous lawsuits. There's a local firm here in Phoenix that brags that they specialize in injury claims. "Ambulance chaser" was once a derogatory term, but they seem to wear the label with pride.

I was once a victim of embezzling by the president of a local club, and when I searched online for information on prosecuting embezzlers, I couldn't find any, but my search turned up hundreds of lawyers eager to help embezzlers get acquitted. How sad is that?
haha, ya, those commercials are on a lot. at the beach about a month ago, i even saw a plane go by with a sign attached to its back, that said: "Joe says have fun. 1-800-win-win-1". that was ridiculous. they are doing it for money. and its their job...i guess they need to do some type of advertising..and repetition is their way of doing it.
Those and gym commercials 2 things I need, but annoy me.
Their Just a bunch of lawyers advertising. They know there are a bunch of sue happy people now these days. They are looking for money just like any other business that puts their commercial on tv. For example. I get sick of the fast food commercials.
Yes I also hate seeing those all the time. I agree their reputation should be all they need.
first of all lawyers dont beg for your business if they advertise on telrvisionn its costing them plenty to sit there and annoy the hell out of you or who everr, advertising rates are sky high so is the crimre rate these days hons and our prisionn systemms are cramed full, of what ever, etc, we agree theres too much baggage with lawyers plastetred from here too there but get used to it unless you just weatch hbo= thasnk goodness for that hons no lawyers or the junke!! switch the tv chanell hons!!
I actually like them because if I ever need a lawyer I know who NOT to call! Those ads are half the reason I record all shows I want to see and just skip the commercials.
Yes they are money sucking grubbing pigs. I had a workmans comp lawyer that made a lot of money off my pain and suffering. It should be against the law to advertise for this on Tv. Just like cigarettes are bad for you, so are these money sucking lawyers.
